Math:  In math we have been learning about the relationship between percents, decimals, and fractions. Practice activity:  file:///C:/Users/sagobrail/Downloads/FractionsDecimalsandPercentproblems.pdf Percent practice: http://www.learnalberta.ca/content/kes/pdf/or_cf_math_num_e_01_calcper.pdf Science:  in science we have been learning about  lab safety, WHMIS and MSDS symbols. You can do the following online matching activity to practice: https://www.safetyandhealthmagazine.com/articles/9561-match-the-pictogram-to-the-hazard?page=3 We have also been exploring atoms, molecules, elements, and compounds. Science:  Today we did some practice PAT questions related to Electrical Principles and Technologies There will be a PAT-style unit test on Tuesday Math:  We are continuing with practicing operations with fractions.   Please do Mathletics practice related to fractions.
Science - we are wrapping up the electricity unit and have been discussing the benefits and impacts of  our use of electricity in different ways.  After the break, we will be going into the chemistry unit! Math:  Students are working on understanding fractions and performing operations with fractions, as well as solving everyday problems that involve fractions. Students are encouraged to continue to do Mathletics practice of these concepts.  When we get back, we will be reviewing improper and mixed fractions to start off. Have a great break!
Math: Today we continued to practice adding fractions and learned about adding mixed fractions.  Please do Mathletics practice at home. Science:  Today we worked on the energy sources assignment.   Please ensure that you finish this assignment on google docs and share with me by the end of the day tomorrow.
