Today in Science: 
We built storage cells (batteries)  out of lemons, paper clips, and pennies.  Students are learning about the conversion of other energy forms to electric energy (i.e. chemical -> electric)

Math;
Reviewing recent concepts.
Homework:  Please ensure the student is practicing math concepts at home using Mathletics.

Science - we are wrapping up the electricity unit and have been discussing the benefits and impacts of  our use of electricity in different ways.  After the break, we will be going into the chemistry unit! Math:  Students are working on understanding fractions and performing operations with fractions, as well as solving everyday problems that involve fractions. Students are encouraged to continue to do Mathletics practice of these concepts.  When we get back, we will be reviewing improper and mixed fractions to start off. Have a great break!
