Science: Today in science we built various series and parallel circuits to observe the difference in flow of electrons in both. Students observed that the light bulbs tend to be brighter when placed in parallel vs. when placed in a series circuit.
Math: Today we learned about estimating products (multiplication) and quotients (division) and applying it to real-world word problems. To estimate the product or quotient, round the numbers to the nearest whole numbers, then multiply. This is meant to be quick and easy to do mentally, so we tried not to use calculators, and limited our aids to multiplication charts. The students did great!
